Bachelor's and Master's Theses

We offer supervision of Bachelor's and Master's theses in all degree programs at the Campus Straubing and in the mathematics degree programs at the Campus Garching. For Master's theses, we prefer students who have attended courses relevant to our research areas during their studies. For Master's theses in the degree programs at the Campus Straubing, you should have attended and passed at least one of the two modules “Operations Research” and “Introduction to Game Theory”. Successful participation in our seminar “Optimization Methods and Their Application” is an additional bonus. For Master's theses in the mathematics degree programs at the Campus Garching, you should have a good knowledge of Discrete Optimization and have attended and passed at least two of the following lectures:

• Einführung in die Optimierung
• Integer Optimization
• Combinatorial Optimization
• Algorithmic Game Theory
• Approximation Algorithms
• Polyhedral Combinatorics
